CGS Fundraiser
California Gourd Society 2024 Fundraiser
The "Wall Art" gourd art is offered as opportunity drawing prizes at the
“Gourds and Baskets: Containers of our Culture”
Event in Visalia, California
April 27, 2024
Our fabulous and talented Gourd Artisans exceeded all expectations with their imaginative and remarkable art creations. There were thirty-one combined entries from Northern and Southern California Regional Groups, (Patches). All 2,000 tickets were sold!
The drawing was held during the catered dinner event at the” 9th Conference Baskets and Gourds Containers of Our Culture 2024” at the Elks Lodge in Visalia, California. Thank you, Toni and Sue and Tulare/Sequoia Gourd Patch, for an exceptional epic event and allowing CGS to participate. We drew names for thirty-one outstanding works of art.
The money collected from the sales of the donated artwork helps fund the Patch leader’s expenses while attending required CGS functions. The other part of the money collected goes to CGS’s general fund. CGS Sells the tickets to the Patches for 50cents each, then the Patches resell them for $1. It’s a Win, Win for both organizations. The collaborative art project challenges Patches to be creative, work together and support CGS.
Thank you Patches for participating in this fundraiser event 2024. Thank you every one of you that purchased tickets too!
